Phil position(s) with Centennial College Residence & Culinary Arts Centre as a Food & Beverage Equipment Technician, Catering Manager, Banquet Captain and Professor in the School of Hospitality, Tourism & Culture. Phil is also a Instructor at Alpha College teaching Hospitality courses to International College students in Toronto.
Phil also was volunteering as a Director of Special Events with Centennial College Alumni Association and always reaching out to all the Centennial College Alumni around the world to connect with him on LinkedIn to stay up to date for special Alumni events.
Previously held positions in Hotels at the Radisson Hotel, Holiday Inn Hotel Toronto Markham and Food and Beverage Manager for the Howard Johnsons Hotel Aurora.
Prior to his career in Hospitality and Sales Phil also had roles as Kitchen Manager, Short Order Cook, Disc Jockey, Banquet Porter, B2B Sales Person, Sales & Leasing Consultant, Account Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager, Sales & Tele Sales Representative, Banquet Hall Coordinator, Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Captain, Dining Room Manager, Bar Person, Service Bartender, Bartender, Delivery Driver, Courier, Event Services Houseman, Laundry Attendant , Cleaner, Maintenance, Food Attendant, Dishwasher, Line Cook, Stock and Bus Person Flyer Distribution.

My Experience
Roles & Responsibilities
The following is an outline of my current and past work experience. Each role has provided an opportunity to learn, grow, and continue developing both as a person and a professional. Take a look to learn more.

Phil is a highly passionate Hospitality instructor that delivers not only the content but the inspiration to motivate students to believe in themselves with story telling of over 20 years of Hospitality industry experience in many positions working from the bottom of the corporate world and climbing up the ladder with over five promotions during his career. Phil looks to continue his teaching philosophy with his SMART goals in adult learning to bring out the best in his students to land a dream job that gives him the satisfaction of a job well done!

Phil's responsible for the overall Food and Beverage equipment in the School of Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts at Centennial College Toronto, Progress Campus, Residents Hospitality Event Centre. In charge of 3 Culinary Labs and 2 Baking Labs for all Small-wares and equipment in the labs. Oversees the maintenance Technician for repairs to broken Equipment. Prepares daily equipment requisition for Culinary and Baking lab classes and inventory tracking and motioning the cleanliness of return equipment.

Previous Banquet Captain at Centennial College with over 8 years of Hospitality Event Management experience training Hospitality students in higher education with a diverse College in the School of Hospitality. Responsibilities for all events from concept to conclusion which includes room setup/teardown, Audio Visual, inventory, staffing, Food and Beverage requirements, execution, food safety and Health and Safety, customer service, bar floats, cash transactions, balancing, and closing procedures.

• One year contract as an Assistant Catering Sales Manager, continued on to accept a Banquet Captain's role in managing and overseeing all events for 9,000 square-foot of function space, also filled in as a Duty Manager and Restaurant Supervisor as needed in the Tivoli Garden Restaurant and Lounge.
Providing Catering administration in Sales and Catering Department with Strong Computer Skills
Responsible for typed Banquet Event Orders for Director of Catering and Catering Manager
On reducing labour cost I utilize part time employees during high peak seasons when scheduling
Manage of employee(s) gratuities for
F & B Functions, my responsibilities for accurate calculations
Organize Banquet storage areas to meet health and safety
Typed all thank you letters, labels, surveys with the responsibility for all marketing mail outs
Invoicing, balancing banquet checks, cash bar sales in Banquets as Banquet Captain
On floor supervising employees to ensure customer products & services are to standards
New ideas as in programming excel spread sheets with formulas for invoicing and cash balancing
* This property is rated as a 3 Star Hotel and was changed to the Delta Markham Hotel.
